Guide for Brands and Creators
How Much Does UGC Cost in 2026? Rates and Fees Explained
Figures are marketplace averages and published starting prices, not a quote. Collabstr’s data is global; the US makes up about two thirds of its collaborations.
Marketplace data puts a typical UGC video at roughly $150 to $200. Collabstr’s 2026 report, drawn from its own marketplace, found an average asking price of $180 and an average final payout of $154. What you actually pay also depends on how long you can use the video, whether it runs as an ad, how many videos you order, and the platform’s fees.
What Marketplace Data Shows
Few sources publish real transaction data for UGC. Collabstr’s 2026 Influencer Marketing Report is one that does, built from packages and collaborations on its own marketplace in 2025.
- Average asking price for a UGC package: $180, across more than 472,000 creator packages.
- Average final payout after negotiation: $154, across about 21,000 collaborations.
- Average UGC campaign cost: $197 in 2025, down 5.7% from $209 the year before.
- Across all collaboration types, 80% cost under $300, 18% cost $301 to $1,000, and 2% cost more than $1,000.
Starting Prices Platforms Publish
Platforms that sell videos at a set price publish a starting point. These are from their own pages on October 22, 2026.
| Platform | Published starting price |
|---|---|
| Billo | From $99 per video, platform and transaction fees included. |
| Insense | From $100 per video, plus a 7% to 20% fee on creator pay and a plan from $400 a month. |
| Trend | About $69 to $92 per video, bought as prepaid credit packs. |
| JoinBrands | Video jobs from $25, plus an 8% to 15% fee depending on the plan. |
What Changes the Price
- Usage rights: longer use, paid ads and exclusivity cost more. Backstage, for example, separates organic use (up to 12 months) from paid use (up to 6 months).
- Deliverables: raw footage as well as an edited video, extra hooks or cut-downs, and more videos per creator all add to the total.
- Creator experience: some platforms price tiers separately, such as Billo’s Regular and Premium creators.
- Fees: subscriptions, percentage fees on creator pay and card processing fees sit on top of the video price on many platforms.
- Products: shipping a product to each creator adds cost and time before filming starts.
How to Budget a First Campaign
- Decide how you will use the videos first: organic posts only, or paid ads, and for how long.
- Pick the number of creators and videos per creator; testing several creators usually teaches more than many videos from one.
- Add every fee the platform charges to the creator pay, so you compare total cost, not headline price.
- Agree pay, deadlines and ownership in writing before anyone films.
How It Works on Canvas UGC Marketplace
- You set the pay for each creator, as one total for the agreed videos, and the creator sees it before accepting.
- A platform fee of 10% of creator pay by default is added on top, never more than 50%. Card deposits carry Stripe’s 2.9% + $0.30 fee.
- Reuse of a video the creator keeps, and pay tied to views, are optional and priced by you, per video.
- Canvas UGC Marketplace publishes no market rates of its own and makes no claims about how a video will perform.
